When I Am Uncertain

November 21, 2022

Listening to the Lord’s heartbeat

My head on his chest

When I cannot find the rhythm

Of my own life

When all is storming

Uncertain

Chaotic

Ever-changing

I lean in to his heart

His rhythm soothes me

It is a gentle lapping

Of waves on the shore

The hum of near-silent wings

Overhead

A warm breeze

Lulling into rest

Wooing into rest

Rest

      Is what

           The heart

                    Yearns for.

Just got your post 12/6/22 and I’m reading your poems. Thank you they’re truly inspiring and in our devotions today we’re reading Romans 15:5,7 TPT
“Now may God, the source of great endurance and comfort, grace you with unity among yourselves, which flows from your relationship with Jesus, the Anointed One.
V.7 You will bring God glory when you accept and welcome one another as partners, just as the Anointed One has fully accepted you and received you as his partner.”
