Golden Light poem

Golden Silence

December 10, 2022

I will stay here

This is my home.

The golden silence

Fills my ears

With soft candy

I eat it

And am satisfied

And delight.

In the everyday activities

Of  my life

They do not see as such a burden

And yesterday

With parents, brothers, sisters

Snapshots, ramblings, crises

In golden silence

Images of them all

Are things I can reach out to

And touch

Squeeze and caress

And marinate in

In silence

I can extract the substance of a thing

There is time outside of time

To love, to honor, to make right

And feed

These recollections

With goodwill

Add them to the heart

Where God dwells

In golden

Twinkling

Crystaline

Silence.
