Golden Light poem

Golden Silence

December 10, 2022

I will stay here

This is my home.

The golden silence

Fills my ears

With soft candy

I eat it

And am satisfied

And delight.

In the everyday activities

Of  my life

They do not see as such a burden

And yesterday

With parents, brothers, sisters

Snapshots, ramblings, crises

In golden silence

Images of them all

Are things I can reach out to

And touch

Squeeze and caress

And marinate in

In silence

I can extract the substance of a thing

There is time outside of time

To love, to honor, to make right

And feed

These recollections

With goodwill

Add them to the heart

Where God dwells

In golden
