Every Word

December 21, 2022

Every word I write

I break bonds of iniquity

Every poem that is formed

Stretches my name

His name

Into the vastness of the heartland

Every sentence composed

Every line scribbled

Every inspiration

Riding on the winds

Forms the rhythm

Of a work

Commissioned before the entry point

Into this world

Every time I say yes

To the creative miracle within

Chains break

Prison doors open

I am

We are

Set free.
